Hello, I’m Mariangela, I am a Mom of two wonderful boys, William (who will be eight in November) and Evan (who turned five in July) and a baby girl Layla who was born in December 2020.  I have been with my partner Paul since 2008.

I do not know what I am doing. I do not like kids, except for my own (and even they have their days where I’m not particularly fond of them).

I used to wear fancy shoes and go out often. Now, I haven’t washed my hair since last week and an emergency trip to the store for diapers on my own feels like a glorious vacation.

I always thought blogs were something for people who actually had sound advice/instructions to provide, or for idiots who thought what they had to say was special. I am neither of these people. 

These are collections of stories and things I’ve learned as a Mom, as mentioned above I do not claim to have any clue what I am doing.  Some of them were written while I was on maternity leave with Evan and the rest since I've been back to work.

The purpose of this blog is to remind myself in 30 years when my kids have their own kids that I went through this shit already so Paul and I can peace-out to St. Tropez without feeling guilty.

I hope you enjoy being a part of our family through these stories and I hope if you get nothing else from my crazy musings you take away that all the shit (literal and figurative), urine, hair loss, and general nightmares are totally worth it.
